Each 1 Teach One Dance Series ("E1TO," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who engages with our programs, events, and community. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around that information. We keep it simple because we have nothing to hide.
1. Who This Applies To
This policy applies to anyone who visits our website (each1teachonedance.org), registers for an E1TO event, signs up for our mailing list, donates to our organization, or otherwise provides information to us.
2. What We Collect
We only collect what we actually need. Depending on how you engage with us, that may include:
- Name and email address — collected when you RSVP for an event or sign up for our mailing list
- Event registration responses — optional survey questions such as age range, dance experience level, style interests, and how you heard about E1TO
- Teaching artist information — legal name, demographic details, and professional background collected through our Teaching Artist Agreement for grant reporting purposes
- Donation records — processed securely through PayPal; we do not store your payment details
- Basic website analytics — anonymous data about how visitors use our site (pages visited, general location, device type) collected through tools like Google Analytics
3. How We Use It
We use the information we collect to:
- Confirm your event registration and send relevant updates
- Send newsletters and program announcements (only if you opted in)
- Understand our community — who's showing up, what they need, and how to serve them better
- Fulfill grant reporting and funder requirements, which may require aggregated demographic data
- Improve our programming and community offerings over time
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.
4. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party tools to operate. Each has their own privacy policy:

Used for event registration and RSVPs. When you register for an E1TO event, your name, email, and registration responses are stored in Luma. lu.ma/privacy

5. Teaching Artist Data
Demographic and professional information collected through our Teaching Artist Agreement is used solely for grant compliance, funder reporting, and internal records. This information is kept confidential and is never shared publicly or used for marketing purposes. You may request to review or remove your information at any time by contacting us.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as it is reasonably necessary — for example, to fulfill grant reporting obligations or maintain our mailing list. If you ask us to remove your information, we will do so promptly unless we are legally required to retain it.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Request that we correct or delete your information
- Opt out of our mailing list at any time
- Withdraw consent for any optional data collection
To exercise any of these rights, email us at e1tonedance@gmail.com and we will respond within 14 days.
8. Children's Privacy
E1TO welcomes participants ages 5 and up, but we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Registration for minors should be completed by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child's information has been submitted without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will remove it immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our programs and tools evolve. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
